Cavalry’s Saloon Talks

Cavalry's Saloon Talks: Inspiring encounters in an intimate setting, accompanied by selected food, beverages and an insightful keynote speech

2018 is slowly coming to an end and last Thursday we hosted the sixth edition of our Saloon Talks. This time, it took place in the stunning lounge on top of Frankfurter Tor Berlin.

Cavalry’s Saloon Talks symbolise inspiring encounters in an intimate setting, accompanied by selected food, beverages and an insightful keynote speech. Together with our partners from HVB/UniCredit, Hyazinth and KPMG, we bring together the most successful (tech) entrepreneurs, investors, opinion leaders and friends of the Cavalry. Furthermore, we are always happy to partner up with international venture capital funds, such as Frog Capital from London, who supported us at our Saloon Talks at Soho House Berlin before.

We always aim to get highly accomplished and inspirational speakers. Among others, previous editions have included keynotes by Torsten Kriening and Thomas Schachner, the duo behind Mission To The Moon, and Saskia Bruysten, co-founder and CEO of Yunus Social Business. Saskia was appointed to the EU Commission’s expert group on social business and has advised on Ban Ki-Moon’s UN MDG Advocacy Group as well as Sir Richard Branson’s B-team. Additionally, Düzen Tekkal, founder and chairwoman of the non-profit organisation Háwar.help rocked the stage at our Saloon Talks. Düzen delivered a powerful and thought-provoking talk on “Values and Democracy in Germany and Europe”.

This time, we invited Dr. Benedikt Herles, author and venture capital investor at Vito Ventures, our co-investor in ObjectBox. He just released his newest book “Zukunftsblind”, where he analysed the technological disruptions shaping tomorrow’s society. “It was great to be part of Cavalry’s Saloon Talks to present my latest book. I met old friends and leading entrepreneurs”, said Dr. Benedikt Herles.

We can proudly say that the event is always a great success. Bringing together around 40 of Germany’s and Europe’s best operators and investors helps strengthen the ties within the Cavalry Family. Previously, we welcomed Tilo Bonow, investor and founder of Piabo PR, Martin Sinner, serial entrepreneur and investor, and Lutz Glandt, former board member of Deutsche Post DHL, and more.

We are looking forward to our next Saloon Talks in 2019! A special thanks to our partners from HVB/UniCredit, Hyazinth and KPMG for making this happen.
