Prof. Dr. Alexander Alscher is LP in venture capital funds at Cavalry Ventures, angel investor, entrepreneur, and professor. He studied economics at the University of St. Gallen and at the University of Southern California, holds a doctorate in business administration from the University of St. Gallen and UCLA, with working experience in engineering, corporate finance, and controlling in Siemens, Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, Haniel & Cie, Barclays Capital, and McKinsey & Co.

In 2000, Alexander Alscher developed one of the first online recruiting platform with “Forum HSG” for over 100 companies. In 2008, he founded samedi GmbH together with Katrin Keller. Samedi offers a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution for high-secure online patient coordination for medical practices, clinics, patients, health insurances, and healthcare providers, including features such as booking systems, resource planning, patient information system (CRM), and managed care solutions. Over 20.000 doctors and professionals use samedi for managing over 12 million patients. Since 2015, Alexander Alscher is professor at the Business School Berlin (BSP) in the area of ​​strategic management. His investment focus and research interest is in management technology in particular Software-as-a-Service and the digitalization of service industries such as e-health and fintech.
