Felix Haas

Investor, Founder of IDnow, Host at Bits & Pretzels

Felix Haas is a founder, board member or investor in more than 50 German internet companies.
Since 2013 Felix is Co-Founder and Chairman of IDnow, the first online solution for convenient
and secure online identification of government IDs in Europe.

From 2006 until the successful acquisition by XING AG in 2012 he was CEO and Co-Founder of
amiando AG, Europe’s leading online service for on-demand event ticketing. amiando
processes millions of Euros in monthly revenue in over 15 countries with offices in Munich,
London, Paris and Hongkong.

He founded his first venture, TiberiumSun Networks – an website network with 285 million
monthly visitors – in 1996. He worked at the BMW Technology Office in Palo Alto in conjunction
with Google and Stanford University and is co-author of multiple US patents, including the
Google Maps “Send To Car” functionality.

He is an active business angel investor in numerous companies including Kreditech, Hitfox,
Delivery Hero, Iwoca, Whow Games, Jodel, Lottoland or Kaeuferportal.
Since 2013 he is a member of the German Government’s advisory board “Young Digital
Economy”.

Felix Haas was awarded as a “NYC Venture Fellow” by NYC Major Bloomberg and as a
“Technology Pioneer” by the World Economic Forum. He is a member of Entrepreneurs
Organization and a frequent speaker on internet innovation.

He is also Co-Organizer and Host of Bits & Pretzels, Germany’s largest founders event with
over 3.600 founders meeting and networking on Munich’s Oktoberfest.
Felix Haas studied Electrical Engineering at Technical University Munich and the ETH Zurich
with a visit at Stanford University. He is an avid private pilot and loves to fly.
